The site covers all the necessary information that a person is required to know to confidently begin skateboarding and progress. The site is themed and laid out like a skateboard shop and uses animation to give users the impression they are moving around. The sites content is separated into 6 categories each represented by a particular shop feature. Each category deals with an individual aspect of skateboarding and uses a range of visual media to communicate with the user. The use of animation, video and interactive flash elements are combined to create a visually rich environment that acts as an effective learning platform. The site is targeted at all skateboarders though due to one particular feature, which provides a guide to skate parks in the UK, it is predominantly aimed at British citizens. | |
