| DESCRIPTION: | Tuune is a social network with a focus on aggregating music news. Each user is invited to set up a personal profile and then 'tuune in' to artists they like, adding them to a list of favourite bands. Each user has the ability to create a profile for a band if one does not already exist. The profiles use RSS feeds in order to stay up to date without requiring constant updates, taking the feeds from the artist/user's myspace blogs and a user entered source, and their last.fm recently played songs if these are available. Each user is able to create events, attach artists to the events and invite users. Users that are tuuned in to an artist that has been attached to an event are automatically alerted to the event. Each artist's profile is open for editing by any user tuuned in to that artist. Tuune also has gig listing updated 3 times a day. Each users homepage offers them a personalised news feed of all their artists feeds combined, an events listing of all events attached to their tuuned in artists and a gig recommendation list based on the artists they have tuuned in to. www.tuune.com | |
